Our client is a leading manufacturer of water and wastewater treatment plants. We are looking for a Director of Sales to join their team to pursue sales opportunities and manage sales representatives across North America. The successful candidate must have experience selling water treatment plants, as well as fluency in both English and Spanish.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Create marketing and sales strategies to clearly articulate the value of the company’s services, differentiating the company from competitors
  • Research and remain up-to-date on market trends and competitor offerings
  • Meet and exceed sales quotas, manage projects and build a solid pipeline of sales opportunities
  • Plan, direct and coordinate the efforts of the sales team toward the accomplishment of business objectives
  • Deliver technical presentations to key stakeholders
  • Develop strong relationships with customers
  • Partner with engineering and production teams, participating in bid proposals, quote development, negotiations, completion of contracts, customer issues and product delivery
  • Manage the team to deliver profitable growth
  • Develop and monitor targets and KPIs to evaluate success, provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting and foster a sales culture of accountability and performance
  • Hire and develop sales representatives
  • Coach and mentor the sales team on sales processes and methodology

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 5-10 years of experience selling fully engineered water/wastewater solutions such as water treatment plants
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish
  • Engineering background is a major asset
  • Proven track record of success in growing sales within an organization
  • Excellent communication, team building, coaching and motivational skills
  • Willing and able to travel 50-60% of the time throughout the US, as well as Central and South America
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis as it relates to sales and marketing strategies and decision making
