The Environmental Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for providing leadership in planning, developing, and implementing measures and practices to protect employees, customers, and the environment.
• Ensure compliance with division, local, state and federal laws and regulations. • Continuously monitor the work environment for environmental, health and safety (EHS) concerns. • Create and maintain company EHS Management Program and Inury & Illness Prevention program. • Oversee the administration of workers' compensation program, including working closely with insurance carriers to reduce employee lost time; collaborate with insurance carrier claims adjusters, nurse case managers and other appropriate staff to ensure proper management of claims. • Ensures managers and supervisors have appropriate EHS, accident prevention and investigation training; ensure managers and supervisors provide EHS training and information to their employees, • Collaborate with managers/supervisors on accident/incident investigations, risk identification, root cause analysis and hazard reduction or elimination efforts and assists in implementation of corrective actions. • Performs other duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or related field
• 6-8 years Environmental Health and Safety experience
• 5+ years EHS Management supervisory experience
HOW TO STAND OUT: • ASP/CSP certification
