New opportunity in the Greater Chicago area!  Electrical Engineer role with a global chemical company offering the opportunity to be a key contributor to their latest venture.  This role will serve as the electrical systems subject matter expert. Must be local to the Joliet IL area.

  • Maintain the reliability of the existing plant electrical system by ensuring the proper maintenance is being performed.
  • Prioritize and recommend upgrades to the existing plant electrical infrastructure to promote long term reliability.
  • Own programs related to electrical safety on site.
  • Provide engineering assistance to the maintenance and operations teams in a 24/7 operating environment.
  • Lead/participate in investigations to identify root causes and corrective action recommendations to prevent incident re-occurrence. Utilize Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) techniques such as Cause Mapping.
  • Ensure reliability/maintainability issues are considered and addressed on new equipment installations.



  • BS in Electrical Engineering with at least 10 years of experience with electrical supply and distribution within a heavy industrial setting;
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical equipment and experience  modernizing industrial electrical systems;
  • Practical experience supporting plant electrical systems;
  • Experience in PSM regulated environment;
  • Prefer experience with instrumentation, control systems and PLCs.
