JOB DESCRIPTION

ELECTRICAL/SYSTEMS COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEER

Location: 60miles south of Washington, D.C.

FULL TIME, DIRECT HIRE

 

This opportunity is with an aerospace engineering company that supports all branches of the military and government sectors.  Because of the sensitivity, you MUST be a U.S. Citizen to be considered. 

 

MUST HAVE ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE!!!!

 

Summary:

Provide engineering support to the PMA-209 Tactical Communications Team.

 

Expected to:

Support system level designs, installation, testing, and certification in aircraft. Utilize principles of systems engineering and other engineering disciplines to evaluate, recommend solutions and clarify requirements.


 

QUALIFICATIONS

Needed to be considered:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • At least 5 years of related experience
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience with design, integration, testing and debugging of communication systems
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
  • Able to travel up to 10% of the time to attend program level meetings and witness testing events

 

Great if you have:

  • Experience with troubleshooting communication and RF systems
  • Experience working with SETR processes
  • Experience with reviewing system specifications and design documentation while providing detailed constructive feedback
  • MIL-STD-1553 multiplex data bus system testing experience.
  • SNMP testing experience
  • Working knowledge of antenna theory and concepts
  • Experience working directly with customers and vendors
  • Experience working with ARC-210 radios
  • Experience with NAVAIR airborne platform integration

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
