This is a new position due to growth.  It is part of a large global operation that makes fun and innovative recreational products.  They would like to stay local but would consider a sign-on to help with relocation. We really need to focus on someone who understands motors - if they have experience with motors used in boats - even better!

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an Electrical Product Designer.  This role will focus on product development for new and innovative products/components used in engines and power systems.   Our client manufactures outdoor recreational vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare design documentation for new products and components including drawings, engineering specs and test products
  • Design products and components utilizing prescribed tools such as CAD, DFMA, VAVE, DFMEA’s in accordance with ISO9001
  • Participate in the full development cycle
  • Assemble and component design including, concept generation, 3D modeling, material selection, stress analysis etc.
  • Review designs and conduct validation tests
  • Manage Bill of Materials

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in Product Design 
  • Working knowledge of electrical power systems
  • Able to work independently
  • Top verbal and written communication skills to effectively work with internal and external customers

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
