Their business consists of highly skilled and specialist engineering and technical personnel who provide services and solutions to power station, transmission and distribution plant owners / operators and developers.
  
THE OPPORTUNITY
  
To meet the needs of their substantial and expanding client base, opportunities currently exist for Electrical Project Engineers who possess relevant industry experience within the in the power generation sector.

Working within their dedicated Engineering and Field Service Teams, these roles will see you based in the company’s Sydney head office located in the Sydney Hills area and spending 40%-50% of time working on site based projects across NSW Regional / Interstate and Asia Pacific locations for periods of between 6 and 12 weeks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Undertake and complete all engineering tasks professionally to meet  the companies high standards
  • Preparing and reviewing of engineering reports, proposals and related documentation
  • Determine technical resources and requirements for works undertaken
  • Direct and coordinate site based projects involving power generators and related equipment and systems
  • Provide technical support and advice to engineering teams and other  internal staff 
  • Liaise with clients to provide advice and resolve any technical matters 
  • Plan and direct site based projects such as developing schedules as well as coordinating and performing outage inspections for all processes and equipment
  • Provide hands-on engineering support and advice on site based projects including the investigation and resolution of technical issues
  • Ensure the smooth operation of power plants sites during maintenance, upgrading and commissioning projects
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the broader engineering team, Senior Managers and Head Office to gain a high degree of expertise regarding the companies equipment and services.

 KEY CRITERIA

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering
  • 3-5 years previous experience working in Powerstation or equivalent heavy industrial environments on maintenance or construction projects in an engineering capacity 
  • Technical understanding of power station equipment specifically  steam turbine generators and auxiliaries
  • Previous experience working on transformer installations and upgrades
  • A desire to work in a hands-on capacity 
  • Strong Report writing and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to work away from home on projects for extended periods of time (up to 12 weeks) working 6 days per week
  • Australian Driver’s License

 ON OFFER

  • A competitive annual base salary commensurate with experience (Salary is based on a 35-hour week) + 15% Bonus
