Full Job DescriptionOur client are a locally based national provider of innovative high quality products, manufacturing and repair services to the mining industry.  Due to the phenomenal resurgence of the minerals sector they are actively seeking additional staff in many departments and they require an:

                 Electronics Specialist - Product Support Engineer


The challenge:  

For several years now, the companies current generation of innovation in their equipment has been operated in the field.  This was developed in the heat of the last boom and that equipment now needs to be updated and improved by someone who can backtrack to the source logic of why it works, in order to deliver the possible upgrades. These upgrades will be aimed at greater reliability and better outcomes for the end users.  You will be applying new and improved solutions into a Mark II generation as well as being instrumental in the development of exciting new innovations currently in development.  This will then be applied to improved production management as well. 

Essentials:
  

  • You will be degree Qualified in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineer
  • You will have, at minimum, several years’ experience in a relevant field
  • An advanced ability to trouble shoot problems
  • You will be a good communicator – customers both internal and external will be relying on you to listen and give solutions in a way that is easily understood. This will require travel to site
  • Participate in special projects as they arise
  • Extensive knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems
  • Actively contribute to product development
  • Trouble shooting problems as they arise
  • Analytical testing
  • Contribute ideas and solutions
  • And critically you must be able to design utilising an integrated theoretical knowledge base into practical every day use. This role is unlikely to suit a recent graduate as a result.

QUALIFICATIONS
