This position is responsible for mechanical product design. The leader will develop and guide their team through the new product development process to deliver an industry-leading product portfolio. They will drive innovation, design, validation, and product launch by applying robust engineering principles. Ideal candidates thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, balancing structure, and adaptability. Success will require a balance of technical leadership and cross-functional influence.


  • Mentor and develop a team of associates. Focus on building a diverse and adaptable organization where associates can achieve their full potential.
  • Enhance engineering excellence. Remain up to date on procedures, tools, and techniques. Promote robust design. Actively manage and mitigate technical risk.
  • Deliver new products. Ensure engineering execution per the stage-gate development process.
  • Contribute to design and development work of an advanced and complex nature.
  • Understand the competitive landscape. Be the foremost technical representative for the portfolio of products. Maintain an understanding of emerging products and technologies to promote innovation and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Think strategically. Partner with engineering leadership and global peers to scope projects and execute strategic initiatives. Prioritize work to balance new product development and sustaining engineering. Develop product platforms to enhance component reuse.
  • Build strong relationships. Collaborate with global engineering peers. Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Industrial Design, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Customer Service, and Program Management to ensure business goals are achieved. Communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Embrace sustainability. Foster new solutions which enhance our products while minimizing the impact on the environment.



  • 7+ years of product design engineering and 3+ years’ experience proactively teaching/coaching less experience engineers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university or alternate engineering degree with relevant professional experience required.
