JOB DESCRIPTION

      Field Application Engineer/Raleigh-Durham, NC: Company is global leader in delivering world class protective nano coatings that safeguard electronics from the most demanding corrosive and liquid environments (waterproofing). Will work with some of the largest companies across industries including consumer electronics, IoT, medical device and automotive. Company delivers a better, more reliable, and more durable water resistant and waterproof product that reduces costly returns, improves customer satisfaction and drives overall brand value.
     Support pre sales activities and new customer programs in direct response to prospect/customer’s requirements.  Help develop and deliver complete and compelling proposals and presentations.  Continuously bring new products and services to customers attention and help coordinate next steps and deliverables.  Analyze customer products and be able to make recommendations that will allow the product to best utilize technology.  Become voice of customer internally to ensure that end product delivered to customer exceeds expectation.  Analyze technical questions/problems and provide appropriate response and support to resolve/address issues.  Assist with sampling, testing and production based on prospect/customer requirements.  Help design, develop and deliver training sessions for prospects/customers & sales team.
     Coordinate all internal and external technical communication with prospective customers, across functions.  Establish and maintain key technical stakeholder relationships (e.g. R&D, engineering, operations) within and across customer org.  Collaborate with sales team, account management, process engineering, product management, and operations to successful deliver solutions based on customer needs and expectations.  
     BS/Engineering required (equivalent experience considered); Mechanical Engineering pref.  Experience with CAD systems (SolidWorks preferred).  5+ years of experience in technical field, engineering, and/or manufacturing of electronic components (familiarity with contract manufacturing a plus).
     Location: Raleigh/Durham, NC area.  Local candidates only. 30% domestic travel (east coast).

QUALIFICATIONS

BS/Engineering required (equivalent experience considered); Mechanical Engineering pref.  Experience with CAD systems (SolidWorks preferred).  5+ years of experience in technical field, engineering, and/or manufacturing of electronic components (familiarity with contract manufacturing a plus).

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
