Great opportunity to join a financially healthy company with a new facility and a good work environment.
1. Conduct first piece inspection
A. Check First pcs. for dimensional accuracy using various gages, plate layout procedure, manual CMM and programmable CMM
B. Be sure that the correct gaging has been assigned and is being used
C. Layout part, if necessary, to be sure future operations will clean-up
2. In-PROCESS INSPECTION:
A. Check parts at machines and throughout the manufacturing process to ensure dimensional conformance.
B. If necessary, perform sample inspection.
3. FINAL INSPECTION:
A. Follow IMS sheets, bubbled P.O., RCC, QAD and AS9102 paperwork to document all dimensional requirements.
B. Inspect and record first 25 pcs on each new part number.
4. MATERIAL LAYOUT AND CERTIFICATIONS:
A. Ensure that all materials are correct and to the latest revision requirement. Lay-out the material to make sure all finished
features will be met.
5. Document and Contract Review
a.) P&W Specs & Requirements (PW310, PW360)
b.) Check Latest Revision of Part versus Drawing & P.O.
c.) AMS Specs (AMS 4928, AMS 5662)
c.) NDT’s (FPI, PTM)
d.) Coatings (Anodize, Plate, Plasma)
6. Review of Processes/Operations
a.) Correct Gaging being used
b.) Check for correct marking
c.) Check for outside services
d.) Check for correct sampling plans
e.) Correct Gaging assigned
f.) Proper Inspection Criteria (do we need CMM inspection etc.)
7. Should be familiar with the following types of specifications:
B. AS9100 SPECS AND PROCEDURES
C. PWA ASQR SPECIFCATIONS
D. P&W SPECIFCATIONS
E. AMS SPECIFICATIONS
Experience in final inspection for an aircraft parts manufacturer.
