High growth agricultural business. Public company requiring Finance Lead for Western Region. Responsible for three operations and expansion. Provide support to operations with month end reports, KPI’s, spending variance reviews, finance prime for physical inventory and cycle counts. Strong leader with analytical skills and ability to collaborate will all levels of staff.


  • Manager team of Cost Accountants
  • Manage the maintenance of the operations departmental costing model for budget variance review, inventory and asset valuations, monthly spend analysis and close processing.
  • Develop, maintain and supervise standard costing allocations and application rates
  • Oversee and review the collection, summarization, and analysis of key inputs and assumptions in the inventory and asset valuation models
  • Support facility GMs on development and reporting of through-put measures, yields, and other key measures
  • Lead the operations month-end and year-end closing, including review of inventory adjustments and departmental allocations
  • Oversee the analysis of quarterly production spending
  • Support operations with the quarterly physical inventory counts
  • Support operations with the preparation of production facility annual budgets
  • Identify and recommend to senior management cost-effective
  • Advise on appropriate procurement cost coding
  • Support facility GMs with general finance questions
  • Support the ERP implementation project, as required
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting
  • 10+ years’ experience in Cost Accounting at a Manager level
  • Obtained or an accounting designation (CMA an asset)
  • Advanced Excel, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • ERP experience required, Sage X3 an asset
  • Public company experience an asset
  • Flexible and able to prioritize tasks
  • Strong work ethic and proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization
