JOB DESCRIPTION

This full time, permanent position allows the successful candidate to work for a fee-only comprehensive financial planning firm in the west Houston (TX) area. The candidate must be a team player and will be responsible for:

  •  Financial plan development

  • Technical expertise in financial & tax planning, risk management, estate and other wealth

    management issues

  • Research and coordinate with industry and other contacts to identify and plan for emerging financial

    planning issues

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. We are seeking an experienced person with superior technical abilities, excellent communication and leadership skills who can work independently and in a collaborative team environment. Specific requirements are:

    • 3+ years of experience

    • CFP® designation or actively seeking CFP® designation

    • Highly ethical, strong reasoning, sound judgment and professional appearance and demeanor

    • Thorough and detail-oriented with a high sense of urgency and follow-through on tasks

    • Experience in identifying and developing comprehensive, as well as customized, financial planning

      solutions for high net worth clients

    • Experience with tax planning for individuals preferred

    • Proactive and a self-starter

    • Excellent writing, listening and oral communication skills

    • Strong analytical and organizational skills

    • Ability to work independently and as important, in a team environment

    • Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of planning software and spreadsheetsAbility to handle several tasks simultaneously with varying deadlines

    • Ability to creatively identify and implement business process improvements

    • Familiarity with Morningstar/Money Tree/CS Planner desired, but not required

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
