General Manager

Sedona is partnering with a family owned and operated manufacturer in the Postville, IA area seeking a General Manager who will lead the overall day to day operations of the company and reports directly to the President of the organization. The right fit candidate will provide complete and appropriate solutions for sales and marketing in order to boost revenue growth, customer acquisition, and retention levels. They will be responsible for supervising inventory systems and handling tech support calls for the products. 

Additional responsibilities include:

General Office- Support office manager with upkeep of equipment & supplies. Assist as needed with IT related issues. Monitor company financials, bank accounts and lines of credit to ensure proper cash flow for payroll and purchasing.

Sales & Marketing- Facilitate outbound marketing, monitor marketing activities costs against actual sales and margin, monitor web performance of SEO, PPC, and SEO systems, Monitor weekly/monthly sales reports, coordinate marketing strategies, supervise & mentor sales associates to promote excellence, prepare for, attend, and follow-up on leads from trade shows.

Inventory & Reordering- Ongoing inventory management, monitor existing systems to reorder as needed, monitor any waste and find ways to lower the cost of goods sold, damaged products under warranty-return and obtain a credit.

QUALIFICATIONS

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 5+ year experience managing a sales and marketing team
  • Previous P&L responsibility and strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency in digital, traditional, and earned media
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player, professional and relatable in all forms of communication
  • Problem solver-able and willing to solve customer problems
  • Outstanding prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills
  • Experience in the furniture or medical supply industry is beneficial but not required. 

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
