The HR Generalist/Recruiter designs, implements and evaluates sourcing, recruitment and marketing strategies.  

The HR Generalist/Recruiter serves as an ambassador for the health system through new hire support, employee relations and exit interview interactions and by attending local primary & secondary school career functions and other community functions. 

The HR Generalist/Recruiter collaborates with their department partners to identify opportunities for improvements in the environment, anticipating recruitment and retention needs and supporting the health system's vision to "Be the best"  

This individual ensures all communication, documentation and compliance with approved employment practices are achieved.

 

 

Geneva is a city in New York State, in Ontario and Seneca counties. It is located at the northern end of Seneca Lake, known as the Finger Lakes Region. It boasts quality wine trails, a rich history, natural beauty, and four season attractions.
On Cayuga Lake, the city of Ithaca is home to Cornell University. The surrounding area is marked by high gorges, many with dramatic waterfalls, including Taughannock Falls and Buttermilk Falls.
Near the tip of Seneca Lake, Watkins Glen State Park has rocky cliffs and cascading waterfalls, plus trout fishing. Southwest is the Corning Museum of Glass. HR Generalist / Recruiter

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  
Minimum:  AAS Degree in Business or related field 
Preferred:  Bachelor's degree with courses in human resourceS. PHR certification preferred.

 

Experience:  
Minimum:  

2 years of Human Resources and or recruiting; experience including sourcing candidates, selection and employee relations.   

Demonstrated knowledge of HR practices and procedures, NYS & Federal employment laws.

Proven success recruiting and sourcing candidates from any and all sources to include online recruiting and cold calling passive candidates.


Preferred:  

Prior HR Generalist/Recruiter experience; 

Prior healthcare experience; 

Knowledge of marketing strategies, including use of social media sites.  

Previous experience with HRIS and/or applicant tracking systems.

Other:  
Minimum:  Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, multi-entity, multi-cultural health system.  

Ability to facilitate project management, work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.  

Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication (written and oral), analytical, and organizational skills. 

Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with the public in a professional and courteous manner. Computer literacy required with word processing, spreadsheets, power point.


Preferred:  

Familiarity with JCAHO requirements. 

 with Microsoft Office products including  word, excel and power point.
