Our new Head of Product will report directly to the CEO. There isn’t currently a CMO. If sales and revenue increased significantly under this candidate’s leadership, they would logically grow into the CMO role and may eventually be considered to replace the current CEO. We fill specific needs in many sectors, including energy, emergency management, maritime operations, coastal recreation, insurance, Smart Home technology, gardening & landscaping, education, and more.

Our company was formed in 2019 and has experienced explosive growth already, with an array of technology and services designed to scale globally. We hit the ground running thanks to the expertise of our leadership team, who have great experience, both in the weather industry and launching successful start-ups in other markets. Some of our founders began creating weather observing networks and providing high-resolution weather forecasts in the early 90’s. We have already built a powerful new team of Ph.D. atmospheric and data scientists, engineers, and business executives.
The company currently has the equivalent of 60 FTEs (some are currently contractors) and is in the process of hiring additional employees.
Until recently the company was funded by the founders and angel investors, and has now secured the investment needed to pursue very rapid growth for the next chapter.

Innovative High-Tech Start-up offering Environmental Data and Decision Support Seeks Head of Product
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced product and marketing leader capable of overseeing 3 key departments and building a start-up from a maturing yet early stage. The right candidate will have strong experience with strategic product planning and marketing. Must also be a contemporary superstar with contemporary marketing techniques including, paid & organic social media, other internet-based PR, captivating influencers, and creating/distributing relevant content. In short, we need an expert at building consumer interest to a fever pitch while having strong skills with distribution deals. We require someone versatile and you would be required to wear many hats. You should be comfortable in a startup environment where life can be ambiguous and chaotic. You must be a highly effective leader and have experience managing teams, marketing and business development professionals, as well as interacting with software development managers. You should be able to speak their language and lead them to drive revenue through a comprehensive marketing strategy. This position requires a great deal of organization, multi-tasking, and project management.

Regular early-stage physical presence in the Santa Cruz area is required, but working remotely is allowed and that ability to work remotely will increase over time.
