Healthcare Business Analyst - Regulatory (MIPS)

Non-negotiable Skills:

  • Healthcare knowledge/exposure and MIPS/Regulatory is a must.
  • The Business Analyst will work as part of multiple scrum teams, supporting the EMR changes that impact our software product development requirements. In this role, you’ll be participating in all phases of the development lifecycle of our web and mobile-based healthcare applications. 


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Elicit requirements using interviews, surveys, client site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, task and workflow analysis.
  • Work with team of subject matter experts, clients, analysts, engineers, QA and product management.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, physicians and other medical personnel, and subject matter experts.
  • Use of requirements, Vision documents, UI Storyboards, Use Case diagrams.
  • Serve as a liaison between software development and other internal teams, including product management, quality assurance and client services to ensure successful implementation.
  • Review EMR requirements for new projects to ensure compliance, regulatory, and user impacts are met.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for the development of user guides, release notes and training materials.



  • Bachelors Degree in Business, MIS, Healthcare, or related .
  • 3+ years recent experience with business and requirements analysis within the healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare software as it relates to clinical workflow.
  • Compliance and Regulatory experience. (MIPS, CEHRT, eCQM, MACRA)
  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of clinical workflow and operations.
  • Agile experience a distinct plus
  • Understanding and previous experience of working through the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Previous experience with medical software, EMR/EHR, understanding of Health IT market and technologies. (strongly preferred)
