Help Desk Specialist

Lincolnshire, IL

45-50k

This is not a remote position.

Must be a Permanent Resident OR US Citizen.

The Help Desk Specialist will be expected to provide maintenance of the computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the internal IT Helpdesk. You will be responsible for administration and internal support of the Company’s PCs, printers, networks, and related equipment. Tasks include end user support, performing PC maintenance, upgrades and configurations, and internal process documentation.

 

DUTIES

• Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
• Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to mobile phones and devices
• Respond to queries in person and over the phone
• Document internal processes and procedures
• Train computer users
• Respond to email messages for customers seeking help
• Troubleshooting PC, network, and peripheral equipment
• Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software
• Manage PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images and software
• Virus scanning/removal
• Install computer peripherals
• Escalate issues to management

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Certification, in an IT related field
• 1 - 2 years of relevant technical experience
• Positive attitude
• Eagerness to assist others
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Mechanically inclined
• Must be a Permanent Resident OR US Citizen.
