Our client is a specialty pharmaceutical company based in Canada. We are looking to hire a Specialty Sales Representative based in Vancouver to cover the Province of BC. This individual will call on specialists and hospitals to sell novel infectious diseases medicines. We will consider candidates with any specialty pharmaceutical sales experience calling on hospitals, although individuals with infectious disease experience are preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Effectively manage the assigned territory, providing high quality customer support, building a strong pipeline of sales activities, and ensuring targets are achieved and exceeded
  • Create, maintain and nurture strong relationships with specialists and key stakeholders
  • Communicate technical expertise on complex pharmaceutical products, and remain up-to-date on important health and market knowledge
  • Report on sales activity, weekly, monthly and quarterly
  • Represent the company at trade shows and relevant industry events
  • Engage with patients to better assess and communicate how products meet customers needs
  • Assist with sales planning and territory analysis

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 5 years of territory management sales experience as a Specialty Pharmaceutical Sales Representative
  • Experience calling upon specialists and hospitals
  • Experience selling pharmaceuticals used for the treatment of infectious diseases is a major asset
  • Proven, quantitative sales accomplishments
  • Entrepreneurial attitude – someone who challenges the status quo for outstanding results
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to travel, as needed, throughout the territory (estimated at 50%)
