Great client of mine, feeding me lots of roles - I am usually the only external recruiter they have.

Pay is good - we receive 18% markup on the candidate's pay rate.  So a $100/hr candidate would result in $18/hr profit.  This is much better than a % of margin!!

Even though these are "contract roles", they are hired as W2 with my employer, so no payroll costs to us!

These roles usually get extended, or the employer can find additional engagements to keep them busy/engaged.


Our client is seeking a Sr. IT Project Manager for a Webmethods Upgrade Project in Berlin, CT.  This project should last until Dec 2019.  Candidates must be local. 


This position will manage a Webmethods upgrade project comprised two core components - Integration Server upgrade and Broker to Universal Messaging (UM) replacement. Championing the project to completion, vendor management, business testing coordination, project organization and strong verbal/written communications are key factors being sought after. Experience in any Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) is a strong plus. 

This person will be responsible for the oversight and overall success of this project. This includes: managing the budget, scheduling and delivery of assigned initiatives. He/She will develop the workflow plans to navigate the project from request through systems analysis, technical design, construction, procurement, testing, turnover to production and client migration. He/She will plan, prepare and issue project schedules and budgets to assure controlled completion of each project phase. He/She will develop and report project status, and analyze progress relative to project milestones. He/She will maintain forecasts to assure that schedule compliance and desired results are achieved. The IT Project Manager will utilize project management methodologies and practices such as task and quality management, project estimation, manpower and budget planning, modeling techniques and attendant tools.



Required Experience & Skills

  • Experience with project implementation planning, environment migration, and testing 
  • Candidate is expected to have strong problem solving skills.The candidate will attend and participate in project meetings and design sessions.
  • Candidate should be outgoing and enjoy working on a team and have great client-facing skills.
  • Individual in this position must demonstrate strong technical and functional/business acumen skills - including ESB experience a very strong plus
  • 8-10 years of professional, relevant experience
