Great opportunity to get into an employee focused company.  They are looking for a Inspection Lead (2nd Shift) to help with inbound functions in their Pittston, PA warehouse. The Lead is responsible for monitoring inspection and to ensure proper quality of garments. The position will assist the Quality Control Department. An ideal candidate will provide a positive example of performance, safety, and reliability to the rest of the team. The position will report to the Inbound supervisor, with a dotted reporting line to Inventory manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Monitor all key functions related to inspection transactions to assure that they are accurate and timely.
  • Makes decision on proper disposition of the garment: Good to go back to stock, required re-work, damaged and needs repair
  • Run system reports to view/report associate’s performance.
  • Works closely with Team Leads to ensure the required standards are always met.
  • Promotes quality achievement and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Maintain good communication with the management team by communicating issues that arise during shift period
  • Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed
  • Maintain neat, clean and orderly warehouse appearance
  • Ability to work extended hours/over-time/ flexible hours as needed as well as some Saturdays
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures and guidelines
  • Able to maintain a positive, professional and constructive tone with team members and management
  • Understand and be able to learn industry specific technology
  • Ensure accuracy of transactions both physically and systematically
  • Maintain good communication with the management team by communicating issues that arise during shift period

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven 2 experience as warehouse lead or similar role
  • 1 to 2 years of warehouse/inventory experience is required
  • Proven record of process improvements on the floor
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld devices (RF)
  • Experience in fast paced, high unit retail Distribution Center environment
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, “just do it” environment
  • Working knowledge of Tier 1 Warehouse Management System (HighJump or similar)
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience and complete understanding of Lean and 5S concepts is a big plus
  • Apparel industry, menswear and/or startup experience a plus
  • Excellent planning and leadership abilities
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States
  • Must pass a background check
  • Spanish Fluency is a plus, but not necessary
