Provide leadership, supervision and direction for a team comprised of Electrical Reliability Engineers and I&E Specialists supporting multiple PSM manufacturing units
Guide the team to identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations
Guide the team to identify production losses and high maintenance cost assets through analysis and recommends and implements improvements that include best operating strategies, best maintenance practices, changes of design, and preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
This team will help diagnose faults and oversee time critical repairs
Guide the team in the design and installation stages of capital projects for new assets and modifications of existing assets
Ideal Candidate Will Have These Skills:
BS Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 10+ years of reliability/maintenance experience in a petrochemical or refining facility (Required)
Requires a broad knowledge of engineering principles governing petrochemical operations. Extensive background in plant operations (at least 10 years)
Be a proven leader who can achieve daily, yearly, and long-term asset reliability, safety, and cost goals through application of maintenance “best practices” site wide
Must have a good working knowledge of maintenance reliability, PSM and MIQA best practices
Must have the organizational capability to work across multiple businesses and systems, and be able to communicate well with operators, mechanics peers and leadership.
You will work with Operations Unit Leaders, the CAPEX team, the Reliability Team to prioritize improvement projects for the Teams based on cost, benefit, risk analysis and resource availability
Maintain dashboards that show: M&R metrics, general mechanical maintenance performance metrics, bad actors, status of all improvement programs by Engineer, status of work assigned to rotating equipment specialists
Provide supervision for HR policies including vacation scheduling, overtime administration, disability, attendance, etc for direct reports
Participate in the hiring, interviewing, mentoring of new reliability co-ops, interns, and engineers
Ensure PSM Compliance as it relates to mechanical integrity, engineering design, relief devices, process safety information, maintenance related procedures and all applicable documentation retention requirements
Coordinate Root Cause Failure Analysis when trigger points are met and implement corrective and improvement plans
Provide analysis of equipment trends, historical data, and uptime data to recommend and justify improvements to obtain lowest life cycle cost on different classes of equipment
Champion foundational Maintenance Reliability Programs that include Thermal Imaging of Electrical Equipment and Systems, Motor Circuit Analysis, Motor PMs, SIS PMs, Instrument Calibration Drift Analysis, Analyzer PMs, Control Valve Analysis, PM Optimization, Motor Age Analysis, General I&E PMs/Calibrations and more
