One of North America's leading providers of environmental, energy and industrial services is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Supervisor. The I&E Supervisor will manage the I & E department and work with engineering and operations to optimize the performance of the operation. The Supervisor will also oversee facility technicians and direct the modification and installation of control systems and facilitates projects. Responsibilities: Will be a leader in the optimization of the operation including programming/maintaining/troubleshooting PLC, DCS, instrumentation and electrical power systems in a heavy industrial environment. Duties include:

  • Demonstrates, optimizes and instructs an expert knowledge of the control methods, analog and discrete and the critical components to developing sustainable control algorithms.
  • Provide loop checking, startup, troubleshooting and commissioning support in an industrial environment.
  • Understand control philosophy and write functional requirement specifications based on expected functionality including description of control loops, interlocks and alarms.



  • Associates degree or Journeyman Electrician certification preferred
  • 6 plus years of experience in an Instrumentation/ Engineering manufacturing environment
  • Must be multi-skilled to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical power systems, instrumentation, motor controls, PLC, HMI, and data systems.
  • Should be experienced in control methodology in PLC (programmable logic controller), DCS (Distributed control system) or HMI platforms.
  • Must have experience in programming PLC and DCS across various platforms.
  • Must have hands on field troubleshooting, repairing and programming experience and knowledge of instrumentation, sensors, flow transmitters etc.
  • Ability to optimize design and implement knowledge of control system architecture including hardware, software, instrumentation and networking equipment.
  • Proficient understanding of analog advanced control and batch control and ability to lead implementation
