Our client is the leading provider of cloud-based enterprise software for a very large global market.  Their product supports email, instant messaging, social media, mobile messaging, along with mobile, Outlook, and web access.  High quality user experience is a key component of their business and their UX Team develops world-class designs for their web and mobile applications. Their customers have hundreds of petabytes of data in their systems.  These oceans of data must be translated into information and insight for users.  They are looking for an Interaction Designer who will be responsible for turning product requirements into simple, effective designs for enterprise cloud services. Working with the Senior Interaction Designers and the Product Management team, you will help define the problem and propose solutions. In collaboration with the Visual & UI Designers and Front-end Developers, you will assist with the design and own the user experience of the final product.  The successful candidate has the ability to see the big picture from a mass of detail, define a cohesive workflow from disconnected parts, and pull everything together into clean and clear designs. In addition, they will iterate on wireframes, gather feedback from stakeholders and perform both formal and informal usability analyses.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Define interaction experience for web and mobile user interfaces based on product requirements
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, and other design artifacts to document and communicate designs to key stakeholders
  • Participate in requirements gathering and clarification, workflow analysis and documentation
  • Assist in planning and running usability studies and other forms of usability analysis
  • Be an active member within cross-functional Agile teams throughout design and development
  • Apply with conviction and skill the best practices and principles of user experience

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications: 

  • 2-5+ years’ experience doing user experience design for web, desktop or mobile applications
  • Degree or Diploma preferably in User Experience, Interaction Design, HCI, CS or related field
  • Working experience with tools such as Balsamiq, Sketch, Invision, Draw.io, or Omnigraffle
  • Portfolio of relevant design work, with focus both on process and finished work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate UI ideas verbally and visually in an efficient and clear manner
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in an environment with rapidly changing responsibilities and requirements
  • Experience with working in the enterprise world or building full feature applications
  • Previous planning, facilitating, and analyzing the results of usability studies is an asset
  • Technical background in computer science/software development an asset
  • Graduate degree in HCI, Design or CS is an asset 

Education:
University - Associate's Degree/Graduate Diploma/2 Years
