Our client is a pioneering national systems integrator and equipment manufacturer. They have won awards for noteworthy projects they have completed. Their sales division is currently looking for a Key Account Manager to assume responsibility for several major lower mainland developer accounts. This individual will be handling the relationships with C-Level individuals (e.g. Director of Operations, VP of Construction) within the construction industry, in order to increase company revenue and manage both ongoing and new projects. Most of the sales will be made through existing clients or warm leads, however some business development will be required as well.

Our client will be considering experienced systems integrators with a proven track record of success in the security industry, but also individuals coming from technical sales in comparable industries with 5+ years of proven account management experience and ability to manage large accounts and provide excellent customer service

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Identify new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers
  • Provide technical support and educate customers on new products
  • Ability to read floor plans/construction drawings
  • Previous experience interacting with C-Level Executives preferred
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team with minimal supervision
  • Multi-tasking and able to work in an evolving technology-based industry
  • Engineering/Electronic background a strong asset
  • Strong technical background in security or similar industries required
