JOB DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will be responsible for providing guidance and leadership to the Product / Software development teams ensuring software development efforts follow best practices with respect to Security.

You will ensure that web applications are being developed with the appropriate security controls and considerations.

  • Will work with software development teams to understand & mitigate security threats in software components prior to release.

  • Will design security standards and procedures, in addition to  training  & mentoring software development teams responsible for SDLC to support secure coding and product development.

  • Stay aprised of vulnerabilities and emerging threats
    • Play a key role in establishing a web application security practice
      • Will act as liasion between Product Owners, Developers, Security Engineers.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of broad based technology experience

  • Prior experience as a project lead, capable of influencing others

  • Ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Software Development (SDLC).  This could come from prior experience as a software engineer, quality engineer or similar role.

  • Experience in Web application defense and/or penetration testing.

  • Familiarity with DevOps / DevSecOps a plus
    • Knowledge of SDLC and prior success resolving security issues specific to applications.

    • Enterprise in a Linux environment a plus.
