MARKET DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – MIDWEST

 

THE COMPANY

Our client is a multi-billion dollar, leading global partner to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Company’s product portfolio includes pharmaceutical packaging and products for the safe, simple administration of medicines, such as insulin pens, in-halers, pre-fillable syringes, injection vials, ampoules, bottles and containers for liquid and solid medicines with closure and safety systems as well as packaging for the cosmetics industry.

 

 

SUMMARY

Market Development Manager – Midwest USA (Moulded Glass) is responsible for managing the sales and distribution activities within an assigned geography.  The Market Development Manager will engage and support our distributors in specific applications and market verticals where our pharmaceutical packaging products and solutions are appropriate.  The Market Development Manager drives business growth and captures market share by increasing activity through the distribution channels and prioritizing channel partner activities.      

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establishes a distribution operating methodology, identifying potential customer conversions to increase market penetration.
  • Proactively scopes pharmaceutical packaging solutions that address channel partner requirements and maximize return on investment for all stakeholders.  
  • Creates key performance indicators for channel partners and evaluates distributor performance against those metrics, identifying prospects for growth.    
  • Articulates preferred commercial solutions and discusses channel partner concerns with principals, positively influencing outcomes.
  • Develops and maintains channel partner relationships by providing market information, product guidance, and customer support related to the current portfolio offering.
  • Identifies market gaps and devises channel partner strategies to enhance sales volume, competitive pricing, and market share growth.      
  • Facilitates the utilization of internal and external resources to introduce meaningful concepts and value added solutions to channel partners.
  • Conducts channel partner business reviews in order to align Company business goals with distribution requirements and maximize value creation proposition.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

  

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate degree in either Business or Engineering or Life Sciences preferred.
  • Substantial experience in Sales Life Cycle Management within either the Life Sciences or Medical Devices or Pharmaceutical industries.        
  • Detailed knowledge of market-leading customer relationship management tools to improve sales efficiency and provide consumer insight.
  • Demonstrated ability to hear the Voice of the Customer and align feedback with company initiatives and goals.
  • Displayed proficiency in navigating ambiguous environments, developing existing and new markets, and achieving revenue targets.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willingness to travel a minimum of 80% per week. (Flexible)
  • Ability to drive company vehicle to current and potential client locations within assigned geography.
  • Capable of autonomous work in remote business environments, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
