My client needs a Machine Learning Research Engineer within the Signal Processing environment. In this role you will design and develop novel machine learning and signal processing algorithms for advanced sensor applications.
It would be your responsibilty to actively collaborate with research engineers across the company, as well as with academic researchers and industry partners to develop practical and powerful machine learning solutions to radar, electronic warfare, sonar, SIGINT, hyperspectral imagine and IR Spectroscopy.
You must have the aility to obtain a Security Clearance!
Roles & Responsibilities:
Conduct or support research to develop and apply advanced machine learning algorithms and techniques to novel sensor concepts that address challenging national security problems.
Design and implement innovative sensor exploitation and machine learning solutions to a range of sensor modalities.
Potential travel to customer meetings and/or data collections and experiments.
Solve challenging problems across domains where limited measured training data is available using techniques such as transfer learning and domain adaptation.
Work with multi-disciplinary engineering teams on projects comprising algorithm and machine learning design, model and simulation, mission modeling, systems design, hardware, software and firmware design, integration and test.
Work with our customers to understand their needs, develop innovative solutions and present those solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
Desire for continual learning and interest in applying technical skills to new problem areas.
Motivated collaborator with internal and external teams.
PhD or MS degree with relevant experience in electrical engineering/signal processing, physics, applied mathematics, computer science, or related technical discipline.
Solid mathematical and analytical skills.
Strong Matlab (or similar scientific computing) programming skills.
Ability to survey literature to determine state-of-the-art, incorporate recent research and apply to current problem sets.
Active Security Clearance at the Secret or Top Secret (TS) level.
Experience with Python and C/C++.
Track record in written and oral communication to both technical and non-technical audiences.
University - Master's Degree
