Our client is a world class mining company. We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join their team. This individual will responsible for maintaining and repairing all equipment and facilities on schedule and on budget. The position includes overall oversight of a team of 100+ people and a large operating budget. Candidates will be expected to work Monday to Friday, business hours, with the ability to be on-call as required. 

Our client will provide relocation assistance and competitive remuneration.


  • Supervises the entire maintenance team, providing oversight on all maintenance activities performed on site
  • Develops and maintains preventative maintenance schedules
  • Ensures the maintenance management system is properly utilized to ensure cost control and minimal work disruption
  • Manages all planning and continuous improvement processes for the mechanical, electrical and facility repair teams
  • Liaises with other supervisors and departments Assists in the development and accomplishments of maintenance goals, policies, procedures, and organizational development
  • Promotes safety and health initiatives
  • Identifies training needs
  • Fosters a culture of teamwork and communication
  • Develops positive working relationships with the team
  • Ensure all operational and safety procedures are followed
  • Maintains accurate records


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • At least 10-15 years of maintenance management experience in surface mining
  • Significant experience working and managing dragline equipment, as well as other mobile mining equipment
  • Exceptional team building, communication and planning skills
  • Experience balancing conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing unionized employees is a major asset
