JOB DESCRIPTION

Industrial Maintenance Planning experience

Outstanding written and oral communication skills

Microsoft  office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel Project)

CMMS- planning and scheduling experience

Not shy about supervising others if needed.

 

Reports: None except for Contractors (indirect)  and will fill- in for the General Maintenance Supervisor , whom this position reports to, occasionally (due to illness or vacation mostly, approximately less than 20% of the time).

 

Summary:Plan and schedule the job tasks of Maintenance including coordinating, scheduling, planning & reviewing work orders, ordering parts, coordinating required documentation

Details: Daily: Review and close work orders making sure labor, hours and parts are in the system; follow-up when needed. 

Plan work order requests- Organizing labor hours, man-power and contract support. Document job steps and tasks, order and pre-kit parts for the job from vendors or our storeroom, arrange for required specialty tools.

Develop weekly schedule- Create list of work orders to be completed for the next week to include PM’s, safety, equipment down tasks, general maintenance functions, and what day and shift functions will occur., generating the required labor hours by day and shift.  

Develop, manage and schedule PM work orders- Create preventative maintenance work orders (PM’s) for plant equipment, update and review PM work orders as needed to revise job steps, parts and frequency.

Develop outage schedules – Solicit bids for work to be contracted out. Order parts and materials for outages. One month prior outage college contractor schedules and finalize the outage schedule. Determine what mobile and rental equipment will be needed and make the orders. Organize Contractor safety meetings Pre-kit all parts and tools for outages. Assemble list of tasks and work orders 3 mo.s in advance, list orders and tasks to be completed (i.e. PM’s safety, equipment down tasks, general maintenance functions). Determine outage schedule 2 months in advance ( days/shifts, labor hours and functions to be completed and what jobs will be completed by maintenance and/or contractors. Create & submit reports on Maintenance Performance – Detail reports weekly on the performance of maintenance department (i.e. past due PM’s, PM completion rates, work order/ schedule completion rates, emergency work orders, manpower utilization and efficiency). Track and follow-up on parts delivery.
