The lifestyles available in Jacksonville and North Florida are highly desirable.  Featuring numerous beaches, rivers, lakes, parks and nature trails along with golf courses and other outdoor activities, the city offers amenities including the arts and shopping that few cities enjoy.  For this reason our city continues to grow each year.  Our client has been a part of this growth for more than a decade.  They are seeking to continue building strength within their finance team by adding the position Manager, Budgets & Planning.


Reporting to the Controller, the Manager of Budgets & Planning will manage a team responsible for the company's financial forecasts and reporting on variances from actual results.  The position will drive the company's annual budgeting process from start to finish while also assisting with special projects in operations.  The position is designed to be consultative as it will assist the company's senior management in educating the junior management how best to utilize financial information to achieve desired results in performance.  Development of presentations, industry competitive analysis, M&A analysis are expected to occur routinely so as to support optimal business performance.

Key functions of the position are to include:

  • Staff supervision and training
  • Development of financial models for internal and external use
  • Trend analysis
  • Development of budgeting and forecasting tools


  • Bachelors' degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA (preferred)
  • an advanced business degree such as an MBA (preferred)
  • Minimum of five (5) years performing similar duties
  • Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience
  • Advanced skills utilizing Excel required
