Identify global site improvement projects together with Site Management in order to create value for our client. Lead complex Lean and Six Sigma tools and techniques to secure that project objectives and milestones are met, within agreed budget and timing and utilizing the Lean Six Sigma Philosophy of striving for continuous improvements. Promote the institutionalization of the continuous improvement strategy and methodology to the plant site and business partners. Develop, mentor, and coach Green Belts to successfully execute significant improvement projects and professionalize the workforce. Act as change agent – managing the LSS project stakeholders (e.g. Site Management).

JOB DESCRIPTION

--- Support site Lean & Six Sigma projects in order to drive continuous improvement.
--- Support the site project identification process from a CI standpoint.
--- Support ACT (Achieving Competitiveness Together) Steering Team/Resource Allocation Process.
--- Manufex key Roles: ACT (Achieving Competitiveness Together) role, Sr. Process Engineer/IP/PPE role.
--- Identify knowledge gaps within organization, recommend programs as needed to build needed knowledge.
--- Lead the Site Trainer and support personnel in leading and developing training programs for the site.
--- Assist and lead with special Continuous Improvement projects as needed, to include DICI programs and other.
--- Define and conduct complex improvement project teams as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt project following LSS methodology and criteria.
--- Identify replication opportunities Lean Six Sigma projects (within and across Business Group’s and regions collaborating with other BBs)
--- Identify and prioritize value generating opportunities for Belvidere/Naperville Sites.
--- Identify best practice Lean Six Sigma developments (internal/external).
--- Identify potential Green Belts and Black Belts and support in assessments for certification.
--- Create and implement tools and systems necessary for further LSS deployment.
--- Help organize Lean Six Sigma, Green Belt, and Black Belt training waves.
--- Bring over Lean Six Sigma concepts/philosophy to site or business management by giving awareness trainings.

QUALIFICATIONS

--- Engineering Bachelor’s degree required; Master Degree a plus.
--- 8 years of demonstrated experience leading and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing or logistics environment; Chemical industry preferred.
--- Proven proficiency in Lean problem solving, root cause and waste reducing tools, processes, and concepts. (i.e. center-lining, visual replenishment, visual management, performance improvement teams, SMED, statistical analysis, pull systems, problem solving, and scheduling optimization.)
--- Experience leading and following Safety/Security and Sanitation/Quality Policies and Procedures, and reporting and following through on any deficiencies.
--- Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change.
--- Internal candidates are able to demonstrate understanding of Manufex.
--- Demonstrated ability to work well with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization.
--- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Mini tab, MS Project etc.
--- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
--- Skilled in organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
--- Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
--- Experience leading CI projects.
