Our client, a Global company that has a strong history of innovation and an excellent work/life balance and incredibly low turnover is seeking a Sr Manufacturing Project Coordinator. This person will be responsible for the coordination between operations and engineering for a major capital project to expand their most profitable business unit. Also seeking someone that can step into an Operations Leadership role at the completion of this project. Competitive salary and excellent benefits including 401k and pension. Responsibilities include:

This person will be responsible for the coordination of activities between engineering and plant operations including maintenance, EHS, purchasing, outside contractors and distribution.

  • Will direct various technical and administrative personnel including engineering to ensure project deliverables (scope, design, safety, budget, scheduling and SOP's)
  • Coordinate with and control the flow of information between engineering and operations to stay with project guidelines.
  • Ensure all stages are in compliance with EHS guidelines
  • Ensure all documentation is maintained and updated.
  • Develop a plan for commissioning and start up including the start up training.
  • There are no direct reports in this role but ideally person will be interested in a path into Plant Management.



BS in Engineering (preferred) or science. Advanced degree in business a plus.

10+ years of industry experience and ideally 5+ in a chemical or related PSM type manufacturing environment.

Ideally 6-8+ years of operations management experience. Must understand how to run a production area.

Should have experience driving Continuous Improvement (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma)

Should have a demonstrated ability to collaborate and negotiate with various internal (operations, engineering) and external (contractors, local officials) personnel.

Significant large scale project experience and manufacturing operations experience along with a desire to move into senior manufacturing leadership roles.

Other desired skill sets include: Project Planning, Quality Control, budgeting, distribution.
