JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Business Development Manager for the North American market ideally already currently dealing with the independent hardware buying groups (GSW, Bluelinx, Orgill, House-Hasson). The organisation currently has an exclusive deal with Lowes and so dealing with Home Depot is not a priority at the moment.

You will be responsible for achieving sales and profitability objectives from existing accounts; identifying marketplace opportunities, and prospecting for and engaging new clients to drive rapid and sustainability. Your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Develop and maintain business with new and existing clients;
  • Create and execute strategic sales plans and expand customer reach;
  • Regular call cycles to maintain engagement, education and drive repeat business;
  • Grow sales revenue through current channels and the rapid development of new B2B opportunities;
  • Work in tandem with the company's marketing team to deliver strategic marketing programs to increase sales;
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs;
  • Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers and meet regularly with management and stakeholders to discuss strategy.
  • Develop long-term, strategic relationships with key customers to deliver outstanding service and support; and
  • Track, assess, and communicate key metrics and business trends to distributors and resellers;

Relevant Business Development / Sales experience within industry.
