Our client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of heating, ventilation and air conditioning products (HVAC) with several divisions and locations across Canada. They offer a wide range of solutions used for both residential and commercial projects and they are very well-known for their professionalism and outstanding customer service.

They are currently in need of a Marketing Manager who will be responsible for developing and optimizing their marketing strategy across the different divisions of the group. This individual will operate at a top management level and will develop innovative marketing strategies in order to increase the company market share and assist all the branches with customized promotions, loyalty programs, local advertisement, etc.

The ideal candidate is someone with previous experience in a leadership role at a higher strategic level as well as someone with the ability to understand market trends and develop marketing plans based on company’s goals.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Develop and implement annual strategic marketing plans for each business segment and review performance to plan on a quarterly basis;
  • Liaise with key stakeholders and respective vendors to develop and implement division, branch, and product specific promotions
  • Develop and manage advertising graphics, messages, and communications, including writing and reviewing copy, and ensuring brand consistency across all forms of media
  • Manage a departmental budget for all marketing spend and report on an interim basis, including managing all aspects of vendor co-op spending
  • Develop and manage the company’s dealer alliance program for all branches
  • Develop and manage a customer contact database and assist with the implementation of CRM software
  • Conduct market research specific to products and report on market size, primary participants, competitive position, product demand, and opportunities
  • Conduct macro market research and report on residential new builds, residential and small commercial replacements, and legislative/regulatory changes
  • Review branch sales data and conduct comparisons to industry trends to recommend promotional programs, areas of focus, and areas of improvement
  • Manage all aspects of the company’s Rewards loyalty program, including vendor communications, special promotions, and data analysis
  • Oversee and optimize all digital marketing initiatives, including website design and maintenance, analytics, and social media
  • Manage key vendor or key customer promotional events

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of previous experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business Administration, or equivalent
  • Ability to manage a marketing budget
  • Experience dealing with external agencies
  • Exceptional problem-solving, project management, communications skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to interact with multiple departments and teams
