Seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a high volume manufacturer in the automotive industry close to Raleigh, North Carolina that has a population of 50,000 people and 25,000 in the county. it is located 40 minutes from the State Capitol of Raleigh, and 35 minutes from Greenville, NC that has a population of 91,000. This manufacturing facility is clean, up-to-date and efficient where they are constantly making continuous plant improvements and upgrades to their machinery and equipment. This manufacturer is well known for retaining, compensating and treating their employees well. In additional to a competitive base salary, they is a bonus plan that pays a target of 10%, a relocation package, and excellent benefits, including a 401-K plan. They are seeking a Mechanical Engineer that is energetic, likes working on the plant floor a good deal of the time, is hands-on and dosen't mind getting his/her hands dirty from time to time. 


The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the safe design, procurement. installation, debug, start-up and operation of plant equipment and projects as assigned.  The Mechanical Engineer will support the production needs for equipment operation and reliability, assist maintenance in troubleshooting equipment and control problems to keep production equipment operational. Prepare design reviews, budgets, schedules, drawings and scopes of work for project implementation. Provide the necessary information/project documentation and training for emergency maintenance and preventative maintenance crews.


A BS - Mechanical Engineering degree is required. A minimum of 2 years' engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, 5 years's experience is ideal. Prefer experience with project management, equipment setting, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, piping, conveyors, foundations, structural steel, leveling/alignment, welding, machine design, installation and startup. A working knowledge of SAP, MS Project, AutoCAD and MS Office.
