Our client is a Fortune 500 company that promotes patient outcomes.  We are seeking several Peer review physicians to assist with lean processes, identify new ways to grow the clinic and expand capability of services and create new approaches to care for the sickest patients


Medical Director is responsible for serving as the primary liaison between administration and medical staff. He/She assures the ongoing development and implementation of policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of medical staff services. Maintains a working knowledge of applicable national, state and local laws and regulatory requirements affecting the medical and allied health staff. Coaches, mentors and grows clinical team which includes clinic physicians, advanced practice providers, and other clinical team members. 


  • Assures high quality care and management of quality standards
  • Facilitates conformance to regulatory requirements
  • Reviews quality referred issues, focused reviews and recommends corrective actions
  • Monitors appropriate care and services through continuum among hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and home care to ensure quality, cost-efficiency and continuity of care
  • Develops and implements medical policies
  • Conducts retrospective reviews of claims and appeals, and resolves grievances related to medical quality of care
  • Supervises Clinic Physicians, Advanced Practice Professionals and other clinical team members


  • Doctorate Degree in Medicine
  • Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine/Pediatrics


  • 7-9 years relevant experience, including:
  • 5+ years clinical practice
  • 2 years experience as a Clinical Medical Director
  • 3 years experience in Utilization/Quality Program management
  • 2+ years Managed Care experience in a HMO or Integrated Delivery Setting
  • Experience demonstrating strong management and communication skills, consensus building and collaborative ability, and financial acumen
  • Knowledge of applicable state, federal and third party regulations



Ideal Candidate - Experience

  • 10+ years relevant experience
  • Peer Review, medical policy/procedure development, provider contracting experience
  • Successful history of coaching, mentoring and growing new  clinical practitioners 

Required License, Certification, Association

  • Unrestricted Washington Medical License
  • License must be free of sanctions from Medicaid or Medicare or National Practitioner Data Bank issues
  • Master's in Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, etc.
  • Suboxone Certification - Nice to have

University - MD
