Longstanding, highly regarded company headquartered in the Northtowns has created a new role for an experienced Office 365 Engineer.  This is a Direct Hire / Full-Time W2 opportunity with our client.   Will work on a remote basis until New York State pause is lifted, then onsite in Buffalo, NY.  Client is open to applicants from outside the Buffalo area if they are willing to relocate to Buffalo.


As a newly created position, will act as SME in O365, working closely with leadership and dedicated team resources to provide guidance on best practices for migrating from on-prem Exchange/Office to Azure / O365 platform including integrataions to video conferencing systems. 


  • Provide overall Office 365 security expertise including strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory, Azure Information Protection, Information Rights Management, single sign-on and multi-factor authentication and related technologies.
  • Drive Office 365 adoption and lead technical effort to enable Azure Information Protection
  • Lead and participate in ongoing Office 365 security and strategy discussions.
  •       Stay current of all things Office 365, including changes & updates, roadmap & releases, and third-party solutions
  •      Document system configurations, standards and procedures


BS or AAS Degree

  • Five plus years of solid experience working in Office 365 and supporting technologies.

Strong knowledge and experience in more than one of the areas below:

  • Exchange Online
  • SharePoint Online
  • Intune
  • OneDrive for Business
  • Office 365 tenant
  • Permissions (Tenant \ Security & Compliance Center \ Exchange Online)
  • PowerShell scripting skills desired
  • Data Loss Prevention, Archiving, eDiscovery and Compliance is a plus
  • This role requires a collaborative, cooperative personality.  Must be comfortable speaking with all levels of staff, including executives. 
  • Must demonstrate leadership qualities, willing to empower and enable collegues by sharing information and knowledge in the effort to create an O365 center of excellence.


  • Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree

  • 5+ years in Office 365 Technologies with prior experience on a migration from On-Prem to Cloud.

  • Willingness to relocate in order to work onsite in Buffalo, NY area.

  • Must be authorized to work in the US now and in the future
