Specialize in the evaluation and treatment of children with a variety of needs.  The treatment and facilitation of sensory and motor development in children of all ages.  Therapists promote the use of play in sessions with children, providing a fun and motivating setting in which to learn and grow.  Occupational therapist should be skilled in meeting needs in these areas:

  • Fine motor development and coordination
  • Visual motor skills
  • Visual-perceptual skills
  • Sensory processing and sensory integration skills
  • Therapeutic Listening
  • Handwriting Without Tears (HWT)
  • Self-care skills
  • Oral motor skills and feeding
  • Adaptive equipment needs
  • Reflex emergence/integration
  • Visual efficiency skills
  • Adaptive equipment: positioning, splints, sensory needs
