This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Operations Manager to join this Long-Established Quality Consumer Goods Distribution Company (import & export) with a successful track record of over 60 years delivering quality service to customers in Australia, NZ & SE Asia.  Supplying to a large customer base this company has developed a fantastic reputation in this strong niche market and a large and loyal customer base.

In this diverse role, working as a true partner & 2IC to the MD, you will contribute to business growth by overseeing all operational aspects. You will maintain professional, efficient and friendly service to all levels of internal contacts and external customers. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll be tasked to:

  • Lead and develop the the company’s ongoing operations growth plans & procedures
  • Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives- IT marketing, finance, customer service, warehousing, supply chain / logistics, inventory control, purchasing etc
  • Design and implement business strategies plans and procedures
  • Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
  • Establish policies are promote company culture and vision
  • Lead employees to courage maximum performance and dedication
  • Evaluate performance by analysing and interpreting data and metrics
  • Write and submit reports to the MD in all matters of importance
  • Participate in expansion activities i.e., investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances
  • Manage relationships with partners/vendors
  • Drive the operating capabilities to surpass customer satisfaction and retention
  • Control operational company costs

QUALIFICATIONS

As a highly motivated and operationally focussed go-getter with the ability to organise, influence and liaise confidently at all levels, you will have:

  • strong communication skills
  • good people management and interpersonal skills
  • persistence + the ability to multitask
