Operations Manager- 3PL - Albany NY area 

Our client is selectively seeking an Operations Manager in their Albany, NY facility.   This is a tremendous leadership opportunity with a company quietly growing in the industry.  The corporate values of our client provide incredible career development for strong performers.  Here are the basics:



The Operations Manager supervises and is responsible for policies and procedures, facility planning and layout, staffing, personnel requirements and training, safety and medical, cost accounting, material control, operation services, facilities, utilities, maintenance operations and interfaces.

You will:

  • Manage the facility budget
  • Not mind be client facing
  • Establish and maintain facility metrics including KPIs
  • Coordinate and prioritize maintenance operation
  • Administer all personnel performance appraisals
  • Manage all safety aspects of the operation
  • Responsible for new hire orientation/training
  • Handle/delegate employee disciplinary action
  • Performs Facility Inspections/Audits
  • Maintain HAZMAT certification

It would be beneficial if you had:

  • 3 years Management experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills in regards to interface with employees and client
  • A strong commitment to safety, care and concerns of employees
  • Computer skills including SAP
  • Forklift certification or able to obtain
