Our client is one of the most successful and well-established suppliers of high-quality building products in Canada. For many years they have been providing Designers, Architects, Builders, General Contractors, and Homeowners with a variety of building products from leading manufacturers in North America.

They are currently looking for a new Outside Sales Representative who will be responsible for promoting company’s products in Vancouver and Lower Mainland by cooperating with the other members of the sales team and with all the departments involved in the sales process. This individual will build and manage the relationships with key players in the construction industry in order to increase company market share in commercial, residential and dealer markets. The incumbent is expected to work 50% of the time in their Surrey branch and 50% on the road visiting customers in the Lower Mainland (between Chilliwack and Horseshoe Bay).

  • Promote company’s products and increase company’s revenue within the assigned territory
  • Manage the existing accounts while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Create quotes and ensure all bidders on commercial and other jobs are quoted
  • Work with other regional sales reps and the VP Sales&Marketing to analyze market trends and identify new business opportunities
  • Keep track of sales activities and complete weekly planning, call reporting and expense reports
  • Complete all the necessary paperwork after receiving customer purchase orders or signed quotation
  • Participate to company events, branch meetings, local trade shows, etc


  • Previous outside sales experience in building materials/construction industry or related fields
  • Successful record of meeting sales goals and account management
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers
  • Ability to use a CRM platform
  • Strong organizational and communications skills and attention to details
  • Self-motivated, driven, professional individual with an energetic personality
  • Ability to identify and solve problems
  • Valid driver’s license
