We’re in the process of filling a Program Manager position for a World Class Tier I Automotive supplier that has a large manufacturing plant located between Terre Haute and Indianapolis.  The successful candidate will have at least 3 years experience working as either Program Manager, Launch Manager or similar within a Tier I automotive environment.  A BS degree is highly preferred.


Program Manager


Basic Functions & Duties:

APQP oversight and systems management

Budgeting/forecasting tooling cash collection and tracking associated forecast to confirm performance against plan

Develop build plan

Business Case Review

Meet and interface with customers

Customer Support (costs/price reviews, open issues, timing, AAR, launch readiness)

Customer Systems – manage inputs in all applicable customer systems related to timing

Drive team to achieve budgeted/forecasted operating income improvement targets for OEM customer

Ensure team quite turnaround time meets customer expectations with accurate data

Ensure programs are completed on time and within budget

Equipment Planning

Facility Planning

Launch support, including onsite at customer manufacturing locations

Logistics requirements/Freight studies

Maintain overall program timing internal and customer time lines (tooling, gages, build dates, testing)

Manage GDLS and ProLink

Lead monthly BU reviews coordinate with other functional leaders to ensure effectiveness

Manage program financial performance

Management gateway reviews

Plant reviews

Post launch business case review

Production PPAP internal and supplier

Prototype build plan, parts ordering (B-req’s), execution, and support

Quote risk assessment

Tooling financial tracking

Following and manage all tool timing with tool shops and report out to customer

Create, obtain approvals and manage work order process


Customer Systems: 

APQP, Tier I Supplier Portals


AS400, ProLink, Excel, CAD, PLM, QAD


BS Degree in an Engineering or related discipline preferred

1 to 5 years of experience in Program Manager preferred

Must be able to travel: estimated 30%

Knowledge of Tier I  (Ford preferred) systems a plus

Strong multitasking and organization skills

Strong oral and written communication skills
