The Project Engineer will be an important member of the engineering community and will help deliver optimal business results on Capital Projects and Technology License Delivery. The position will report to the  Engineering Manager. 25% travel within the USA and globally could be required. Located in Houston, TX.

  • Active support of all SHE policies and procedures.
  • Provide mechanical design guidance for the following industrial scale unit operations: biomass processing and handling, gasification, heat transfer, boilers, incineration, evaporation, effluent treatment systems and utilities.
  • Provide technical support in solving issues in an integrated cross-functional team environment.
  • Works with License Support Contractor and Commercial Staff to effectively and efficiently deliver on technology license commitments.
  • Works closely with Engineering Manager(s), Project Manager(s) and other key stakeholders to ensure projects are constructed on time and within budget. Liaises with contractor’s staff, attends construction and/or design meetings and reviews detailed designs and specifications.
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with colleagues, consultants, and key stakeholders to ensure projects run smoothly and to resolve concerns promptly and efficiently.



  • B.S. Mechanical Engineering
  • 10+ year's mechanical engineering experience in an industrial plant/project environment. 
  • Project Experience in: planning/scheduling, cost estimating, project controls, procurement, construction management, risk management, safety and reporting. 
  • Working knowledge of MS Project/Primavera, Project Controls Software, Risk Simulation Software
