Payroll Coordinator - FL- Position open due to growth of the organization within Florida and into South Georgia. Great area with many museums and cultural offerings. Swimming and surfing are popular at nearby barrier island beaches such as Jacksonville Beach and Neptune Beach.

Client needs to hire additional staff for its payroll department which processes bi-weekly payroll for more than 12,000 employees.  Among those staff our client needs a Payroll Coordinator who will assist with payroll related tax filings on a recurring basis.  Full details are below.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Payroll Coordinator leads and directs the daily, weekly, and monthly activities of the Payroll Staff.  These supervisory responsibilities include workflow dissemination, staff evaluations, and establishing goals for development and advancement.  The Payroll Coordinator is also responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax returns.  The position is also responsible for coordination with the Human Resources Department regarding timekeeping, records accuracy and maintenance, and onboarding processes for new hires. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related discipline
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in payroll administration for a large number of employees (5,000 minimum)
  • Knowledge of IRS regulations and tax filings
  • Working knowledge of Department of Labor regulations
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
