Plant Manager, Kitchener, ON
*Primary Function: The Plant Manager is responsible for driving a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement while managing end-to-end plant operations including Production, Warehousing, Maintenance and Engineering, Quality Assurance, Inventory Management and Controls, and Logistics.
Business and Product/Production Management: Develop impactful goals and ensure all plant functional areas are aligned and have initiatives/objectives that deliver results. Provide input into development of the annual operating budget and manage costs to keep within budget. Develop and prepare the annual capital budget to maintain the business and to support the strategic business plan.
Facility, Environmental, Health & Safety Management: Maintain employer and employee compliance within OHSA. Evaluate and recommend equipment additions, retirement of assets, upgrades and maintenance needs.
Employee Management: Manage plant staffing requirements including the assessment and selection of all potential new hires. Provide coaching and mentoring to support employee growth and development. Ensure the workforce is properly trained, performance is reviewed regularly and all operating procedures are followed.
*Qualifications: Plastic industry experience is a must. Proven Plant Management leadership with 10+ years' experience in manufacturing., managing 50+ employees in a continuous shift operation environment. Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is a plus.
*Education: Bachelor degree preferred; MBA an asset.
