Our client is a progressive and innovative leader in animal livestock nutrition; manufacturing and selling high quality, leading edge, feed and nutritional products for livestock producers. As our client continues to grow and serve the local agricultural community, they are looking to add an energetic, self-motivated Poultry Sales Specialist to their team to focus on selling, servicing, and supporting livestock producers in the Fraser Valley, BC.

In this role, you would be responsible to market livestock feed and nutritional products to customers; meeting with customers, either by phone or in person, to discuss the customer’s needs on-farm. You would report directly to the Feed Sales and Service Manager.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent initial sales and service support and account management support to the poultry producers throughout BC
  • Actively prospect new business potentials and acquire new business
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely sales information
  • Positively build strong relationships with internal team and producers; providing the best customer service
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, implementing and monitoring Company sales and feed programs to enhance and maximize production and performance
  • Resolve all sales, nutritional, or management issues quickly and effectively
  • Assist in the preparation of the Sales Department operating budget, capital budget and operation plan
  • Work collaboratively with producers to evaluate and improve key performance indicators on farm
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts including climbing bins if necessary on farm
  • Continuous learning regarding sales and market trends, product performance, and industry information



Experience They Like!

  • Minimum three (3) years' sales and/or service experience in an agricultural related field
  • Knowledge of customer and prospects considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of agricultural production systems
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working on an active livestock farm (poultry preferred)
  • Ability to relate professionally with customers, suppliers, and personnel
  • Must have a valid B.C. Driver’s License

Preferred Education:

  • Diploma or Bachelor degree in Agricultural Science (or equivalent) experience.
  • Possess a Veterinary Drug Dispenser license or willing to acquire within the first 90 days of employment
