JOB DESCRIPTION

  • The Power Electronics Engineering Manager will support the design and manufacturing of industry-leading medium voltage motor drives, power converter products and energy storage and management solutions.
  • The Engineering Manager is a working engineer who also leads a development team responsible for design and development of reliable and cost effective motor drives, power conversion products and systems, including system architecture, inverter/converter topologies, printed circuit boards, thermal management and electrical cabinets.
  • The position requires excellent technical engineering knowledge coupled with solid people leadership skills, proficiency in product development, project management and quality systems.


 

QUALIFICATIONS

MUST HAVE:
10+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or related working with electrical motors or drives
5+ years of experience with managing engineers and complex engineering projects 

Experience with medium voltage motor drives and high-voltage/high-power converters
Experience with design for AC-DC, DC-DC and DC-AC systemsExperience in building/troubleshooting motor drives and power electronics

Experience of modeling, development and testing of power electronics systems, including the development of test and validation plans
US Citizen
BS in Electrical Engineering

NICE TO HAVE:
Experience creating and testing prototype power electronics
Experience with new product introduction including design for manufacturing and assembly (DFM & DFA)
Experience designing for fault tolerance, reliability, and manufacturability
Knowledge of AC/DC motor and drive topology

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
