Our client is a successful healthcare multi-practitioner office located in Edmonton. Extremely fast paced and busy, they are looking to hire a Practice Manager to manage staff and lead the overall administration and operations of the office. Reporting to the owners, this person will lead a team of over 25 staff and be responsible for supervision, scheduling, performance management, employee development and clinic operational success. He or she will ensure protocols and policies are followed to maintain patient confidentiality, create and deliver exceptional customer service standards and foster of vibrant and up-beat work environment.

We are looking for a strong manager with at least 10 years of managerial experience, leading teams of at least 15 people or more. Qualified candidates will have a passion for leading teams, managing business financials and a background in HR. The successful incumbent will have a fun and positive attitude and a professional demeanor. It is a bonus if this person has operational and payroll experience.

We are searching for candidates with management experience in a healthcare setting (such as orthodontics, dentistry, ophthalmology, radiology, etc). JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Overall staff supervision and leadership of over 50 individuals in a healthcare setting
  • Plans, directs and coordinates employee scheduling for the clinic to ensure business success
  • Hires, trains, motivates and provides mentorship for staff
  • Creates and fosters a culture of high-quality customer service, accountability and performance
  • Nurtures a positive, health-focused and vibrant work culture
  • Establishes key performance indicators for measuring success
  • Assists with some payroll and financial accounting activities
  • Resolves and mediates employee conflicts
  • Oversee and creates office protocols and procedures that maintain patient confidently and holds staff members accountable for success

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10 years of successful management experience leading teams of at least 15 people or more
  • Experience managing a team of people in a medical setting preferred
  • Strong HR experience related to hiring, scheduling, performance management, conflict management and employee mentorship
  • HR education/credentials are a major asset
  • Collaborative and fun leadership style
  • Passionate and dynamic – able to influence others and inspire positivity
  • Excellent team building, coaching and motivational skills
  • Strong communicator
  • Solid financial and business acumen
  • University degree preferred
