Smaller plant that is part of a large, global company.  The product is considered tops in the steel and foundry industries.  Conneaut is commutable from the east side of Cleveland - that's where Plant Manager commutes from.  This will be the only Process Engineer in the plant and reports to the Plant Manager.  $80K is the target but will go a little higher.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Process Engineer, will be responsible for controlling and improving the production process.  This position will also execute capital expense, transfer of technology and other improvement projects.

Responsibilities will include:

• Constant monitoring and adjustment of the production process to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost
• Plan and execute capital or other improvement projects, consulting with management, suppliers and other subject matter experts as needed
• Contribute to TPM programs by implementing process improvements
• Assist with daily quality checks
• Analyze product failure data and laboratory test results to determine causes of problems

 

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in Chemistry, Material Science or Ceramic Engineering along with  3-5 years of process engineering experience in a chemical-based, manufacturing operation. Six Sigma Green Belt - required.
