This person will be part of the company's central engineering group and will at times support multiple plants. More Process/Production Engineering in nature. Not a desk job.
·Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while continuously improving process efficiencies, yields, production rates, changeovers, and costs
·Reduce process variation through standardized work methods and enhancement of teammate capabilities
·Employ Six Sigma methodology and tools to analyze sources of process variability, and identify opportunities for improvement
·Improve process capability and production output while maintaining and improving quality standards
·Evaluate opportunities to implement error-proofing techniques in order to increase first pass yield, improve process consistency, and reduce downtime
·Lead efforts to identify and develop solutions to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
·Assist in implementing best practices across the network of plants
·Ensure improvement plans are completed on time and measure attained results against the project objectives
·Promote and support the application of the Management of Change (MOC) and Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV) standards
·Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering ideal. (May consider an ME with some knowledge chemistry, reaction kinetics)
·Ideally 5+ years of process engineering experience evaluating existing systems and implementing process improvements in a Chemical manufacturing environment
·Lean Manufacturing and / or Six Sigma training and application experience in manufacturing
·Should posses good analytical and troubleshooting skills
·Must be comfortable spending considerable time on the plant floor supporting operations
·Must be open to travel to support other plants in the US, up to 50%
· Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
